- 3 egg
- 3 dl (10 fl oz) sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 75 g (2.6 oz) margarine or butter
- 1 dl water
- 3 dl (10 fl oz) flour
- Some breadcrumb and butter for the form
- Black: (2-3 tbsp cacao powder, 1 tbsp vanilla sugar)
- White: (1/2 dl (1.7 fl oz) Cointrau)
For the cakes in the images we used one set of ingredients per cake.
- Spread butter on an oven form. Add some bread crumbs and shake it out evenly, until the whole buttered surface is covered.
- Melt margarine/butter and let it cool. Start warming the oven to 175 °C (347 °F).
- Mix eggs and sugar. Add vanilla sugar and baking powder, mix some more. Add seasoning for Black or White, mix some more. Add the butter and the water, mix one last time.
- Pour the mix into the form.
- This is Black version.
- Put the form in the oven, bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Let it cool a few minutes, then release the edges and put the cake upside down.
- Cover with the form or aluminium foil and let it cool completely.
