Fried Sauerkraut

  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil
  • 1 clove garlic (pressed)
  • 1 onion (chopped)

  • 2 tbsp water
  • black pepper
  • Herbs (optional, caraway, thyme, marjoram)
  1. Preheat frying pan and fry garlic with butter.
  2. Add onion and continue frying until brown.
  3. Add sauerkraut and fry 5 minutes.
  4. Add water and spice and continue cooking for 15 minutes.
