- 1 cup sauerkraut
- 1 tbsp butter or oil
- 1 clove garlic (pressed)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 tbsp water
- black pepper
- Herbs (optional, caraway, thyme, marjoram)
- Preheat frying pan and fry garlic with butter.
- Add onion and continue frying until brown.
- Add sauerkraut and fry 5 minutes.
- Add water and spice and continue cooking for 15 minutes.
