Shepherd’s Pie

  • 1 kg (2 lb) potatoes (peeled)
  • 200 ml (7 fl oz) Crème fraîche or sour cream or cream
  • 50 g (2 oz) butter
  • 1 egg yolk

  • 200 ml (7 fl oz) leek (chopped)
  • 200 g (7 oz) cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 500 g (1 lb) minced meat (lamb or beef)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Some dashes Tabasco
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
