Bologna Sauce (Meat Sauce for Pasta)

  • 500 g (1 lb) minced beef
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • 5-6 mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 chili or Habanero (optional, chopped)
  • 400-500 g (1 lb) chopped tomatoes

  • 1-2 cloves of garlic (chopped or grated)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1-2 dl (4-6 fl oz) red wine
  • Oregano, basil, bay leaf
  • 1 dl (3 fl oz) milk or cream (optional)
